Fishfinger pie

This fish finger pie meal is one we make when we want to all eat at the table and have a meal that we like, but also the children will eat.  It is relatively frugal (especially if you buy frozen fish finger mis shapes as we do sometimes) and is easy and quick to make.  When ever we make mash potato we tend to make double the amount we need so that we can make a quick and easy meal another day, and it saves on energy.  I made my fishfinger pie in an air fryer and a microwave.

Ingredients

Mash potato to fit on top of the dish you are using (I used 4 medium potatoes).

Fish fingers to cover the bottom of your dish

A tin of beans

Grated cheese (optional)

Method

  1.  Put the fish fingers in the bottom of the dish and microwave for 5 minutes.
  2.  Pour the tin of beans over the top
  3.  Cover with mash potato.  Microwave for 4 minutes.
  4.  Place in the air fryer and cook on 200C for 8 minutes until the mash potato has some colour on top.
  5.  If you wish to sprinkle some grated cheese on top of the mash put it on after 5 minutes in the air fryer.
  6.  This pie can also be cooked in an oven at 180C

The children just ate it as it was but we served it with green beans.
